I have a Boxer bitch that is 9 years old and she keeps chewing the pads of her paws. We have been to the vets on many occasions, tried Steroid treatment internal and external, tried changing diet, tried all sorts of different creams including the latest attempt using Liverine Unction cream. I have been told that it could be an allergy to almost anything. Has anyone out there in the Pet Health Forum cyber world had similar issues with their dog? I would love to hear from anyone with any ideas on what I could try next. |

Hi styfan, i have in the past few weeks noticed my staffie doing the same thing, she sort of gets her whole paw in her mouth and makes a sucking and biting sound, i have not yet took her to vets but by sound of it theres not much they can do, i wondered if its because of long nails?. My daughter came to me the other day and said " daddy i think lola's hungry because she is eating her paw" lol. i will try and find some info.
