I'm not sure is there some difference from the puppy food to the adult food.any ideas?

Yes there is puppy food and adult food has different nutrients in them as well as other things, you might get more info here http://www.dogaware.com/dogfeeding.html |

Puppy food is massively richer than adult food, designed to support the rapid growth a puppy undergoes. Adult food has a lot less nutrients in it as of course, the dog doesn't require as much as it is fully grown. :P
